DEPRESSION

Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.

Don’t treat depression as a joke because depression is a serious condition. When you observed that someone you or someone you love has lost interest in work, hobbies, or everything he/she do and other pleasurable activities, immediately talk to her and comfort her. Also when someone you know frequently complains of aches and pains such as headaches, stomach problems, and back pain or complains of feeling tired and drained all the time.

But remember that being a compassionate listener is much more important than giving advice. You don’t have to try to “fix” your friend or family member; you just have to be a good listener. Often, the simple act of talking face to face can be an enormous help to someone suffering from depression. Encourage the depressed person to talk about their feelings, and be willing to listen without judgment.

Depressed people tend to withdraw from others and isolate themselves. You may need to express your concern and willingness to listen over and over again. Be gentle, yet persistent.

EPILOUGE

As months go by,encountering problems and challenges weren't new to me anymore.I'm already capable of addressing this problems and challenges every time it pushes me down. I feel grateful. why? because every time I face new problems and challenges, there is a new lesson waiting for me to learn. And I can proudly say that I learned all of this inside a classroom.
If 1st,2nd and 3rd Quarter was a challenge for me,this 4th quarter was more than a challenge. It was a hundred times better. I was capable of handling more difficulties. Thanks to my Teacher and my friends I learned how to conquer my weakness. Especially when we do various activities related to html tags. Html tags is my weakness to be honest.
But just like what they say, "There are no problems that can't be solved!". Through the support of my friends and the wisdom they gave me, I can say "ez" for a problem.

MY DREAM, MY FUTURE

https://images.app.goo.gl/raXvh4YP8rrLWgjWA
All of us have our own dreams. I have dreams just like everyone else.I want to have a good life, and tons of money to buy the things I need and what makes me happy. I will do whatever it takes to achieve it.

I dreamed to become a Certified Public Accountant. I know that being a CPA is not that easy but I'll strive harder in order to achieve my dream cause I want to pay the sacrifices and love of my parents. The time, money and care they spent to educate their child. That is something to be paid off.

As you can see I have big plans for the future. I have a great fear on failure, and I wont let it get to me.I'll never give up even if the world is against me. My dreams are the ones that keeps me going. I'll make it to the stars through hardships.

https://images.app.goo.gl/oRz3ujp54VWuVQAw7
Every year, school and universities celebrate their foundation days to commemorate the day when the school was established. They say that School Foundation Day is a very much awaited event by far and this is usually done in order to accommodate various activities such as field demonstration, speeches of school authorities, enumerating school accomplishments, goals and plans for the upcoming years. It is indeed crucial since student now a days don't appreciate their schools founder and history.

On March 1, 2020, our school Ilocos Sur National High School will celebrate it's 118th Foundation Day. This event is not yet started, but there are a lot of memories made with my classmates and friends when we are ask to practice our field demonstration. It was indeed tiring but it was worth it.

We may not be the best dancer in performing our field demonstration-which is considered as the highlighted activity, but we performed as much as we can and did our very best.
Furthermore, commemorating the Foundation Day is significant since it is the chance to remind the students about the humble beginnings of their educational institution.

KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL 2020

https://images.app.goo.gl/2TkrKgCGid9SrjSZ8

Ilocos Sur is a beautiful province located in the northern part of Luzon. It is a province rich in culture that represents the ancient Spanish and Filipino heritage. The locals conceived Kannawidan festival to show and share their treasures to the whole world that highlights these cultural traditions.

It is a celebration that lasts from the last week of January up to the first week of February. Included in the course of events is the commemoration of the foundation day of the province. On the opening day, there is usually a mass held at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral. It is followed by a procession of the Patron Saints of the 40 parishes and images of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary around the city. It is the Ilocanos' way of giving thanks to the Almighty not only for the bountiful blessings but also for the rich heritage of the city, including the close family ties among the Ilocanos. This event showcases the deep-rooted religiosity of the townsfolk.

The other reason why Kannawidan is conducted is to pay more attention to the children. It is because of the observation that many traditions, songs, dances, and other Ilocano culture are not recognized by the younger generations of the province. Instead, children are paying more attention to the modern and novelty dances they see television than the traditional ones.

CHANGE STARTS WITH OURSELVES

https://images.app.goo.gl/RCiLkzCdhoBJ8dDS6
Change happens whether we like it or not and regardless of whether we do anything about it. Tomorrow will be different than today. We can resist, but that is a bit like standing in a river and trying to hold back the water.

We can lead change and make our world a better place if we start with ourselves. Learning to become a better spouse, parent, businessperson, leader, salesperson, philanthropist, coach and volunteer will enable me to contribute more to my family, my community, and my industry. By inviting positive change into my life, by initiating change, I might be able to positively influence others.

We must all change the way we think and act. Nothing changes if you change nothing

HAPPY FIESTA VIVA VIGAN!!!

https://images.app.goo.gl/PyAELy7jHDqwF13f8
The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta. They are joined by thousands of visitors from other parts of the Philippines and other countries in enjoying the cultural shows, parades and street dancing prepared by the local government with the help of the local industries and communities. There are also food fairs, arts and crafts exhibits, as well as a visiting carnival. Within the Vigan City Fiesta days, the Longganisa Festival is also celebrated.

The city has a longganisa-themed parade and at one time attempted to set a record for having the longest longganisa ever made. The festival has become a crowd-drawer as Vigan longganisa, a native version of Mexican salami, has a distinct garlicky taste that has become a favorite of the Filipino palate. Though other manufacturers have tried to copy the Vigan longganisa taste, they have not been successful.

Biguenos attribute this to the fact that the making of Vigan longganisa is a centuries-old tradition of the local makers and all if not most of the ingredients used in making the native sausage is sourced from Vigan. Vigan’s garlic and sugarcane vinegar are said to be more strongly flavorful. It’s a great take-home gift after partaking in a Vigan City Fiesta.
