CHILDREN'S MONTH CELEBRATION 2019

In the month of October, here in the Philippines, National Children’s Month is celebrated.  Mandated by Presidential Proclamation 267, it is a time to recognize the value of Filipino Children as the most valuable assets in the society.  Observed by Government and Non-Government agencies around the Philippines the month-long celebration is also a campaign to end violence against children and to promote their physical, emotional, moral, spiritual and intellectual well-being.
Stairway celebrated the month-long event with a series of Children’s Rights and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention workshops for Stairway scholars and their parents.  A team went up to Manila to create Child Friendly Spaces in ten police precincts around Metro Manila.  In Stairway, the children enjoyed many different activites through out the month of October from learning about foreign countries to making clay ovens.
            National Children’s Month with plenty of enjoyable and inspiring activities for the children. The month ended with a wonderful awards ceremony recognizing the talents and personal achievements of the children.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS CELEBRATION 2019

     In this month of November, we celebrate Philippine Environment Month Celebration with the theme: Beat Air Pollution. This year's celebration aims to raise awareness on how air pollution is destroying not just the environment but also the health of the public.

     DENR 7 together with partner national government agencies in Central Visayas unite in a foot parade to celebrate Environmental Awareness Month.

     The foot parade was then followed by the hosting of DENR 7 in the unified flag raising attended by NGA partners including PNP-Cebu Provincial Police Office, Civil Service Commission 7, National Economic Development Authority 7, Department of Education 7, Department of Interior and Local Government 7, Commission on Higher Education 7, Department of Science and Technology 7 and Department of Budget and Management 7.

VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION 2019

     In this month of November, we Filipinos usually celebrates Values Month celebration.  This celebration is an effective measure to create moral awakening and national consciousness on unique, positive, and genuine values held important by the Filipino people in their daily lives.

     This celebration was anchored on four pillars – makaDios (pro-God), makatao (pro-people), makabayan (pro-country), and makakalikasan (pro-nature), these values mirror the country’s rich tradition and cultural heritage, Filipino values are instilled early in life. Values formation starts in the family (such as kindness), in spiritual life (piety), relationship with others (generosity), in the workplace (resourcefulness), and in the community (respect for the law).

     The family is at the forefront of instilling values among young Filipinos in the home. Children learn to say “po” and “opo” to older people and to kiss their hands as a sign of respect.

UNITED NATIONS CELEBRATION 2019

     Commemorating the day when the United Nations was created. Every month of October, we are celebrating United Nations month. This year 2019, were celebrating it with the theme "Indigenous Languages Matter for Sustainable Development Peace Building and Reconciliation". This celebration aims to promote peace around the world and all the good they’ve done with their network of specialized agencies.


     Many countries celebrate United Nations Day with national costumes, flags, and music performances. Because it symbolizes cultural diversity.

     United Nations connects cultures by breaking language barriers. Actually, the UN are very concerned with languages: one of its most important projects aims at language preservation.

     Actually, this year 2019 declared as The Year of Indigenous Languages to raise awareness about the important contribution they make to cultural diversity. Languages are dying and we should try to save them!
